Barbara Grunthal, cello and Tim Chatterton, trombone

Barbara attended the Royal Northern College of Music where she won two prestigious scholarships. Her chamber music commitments have included a British Council tour of Greece and Cyprus and duo recitals in Greece and Cyprus. She works with chamber ensembles and major orchestras in the northern region including Manchester Camerata. For the last 10 years she has been involved in many Camerata Education projects. Her freelance career includes teaching at Chetham's which she attended as a pupil. Barbara will be joining the London Philharmonic for a tour of Japan at the end of February 2008.

Tim has considerable experience of developing major cross-art projects in the Manchester area, leading music and visual art projects at several galleries and co-directing music courses for children. He is also a member of Manchester Camerata and contributes to their outreach work with schools.

As a professional trombonist, Tim has performed, recorded and toured with all of the professional orchestras in the north of England and with the RTE Symphony Orchestra in Ireland.
